The Ultimate Golfers’ Gift Guide
The stuff golfers will actually use, love, & laugh at getting
Thinking of the perfect gift for someone can be stressful — especially if you don’t speak “Golf”. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Whether your golfer is just beginning to learn about the sport or they are already obsessed with golf; this guide will help you pick something they’ll actually use (and love).
You can purchase these items at any Golf & Sport store. I’m not sponsored by any of these products or companies — Some of these items I have purchased & use myself, some are things that I KNOW your golfer will use & love to get!! Featuring a wide range of gifting ideas from stocking stuffers, to ones that will get you cheap laughs; any golfer will enjoy these gifts.
The Essentials
These are items that EVERY golfer needs & will use on EVERY hole when playing golf. They’re practical, affordable, and even make great stocking stuffers!
Divot Tool & Ball Marker
Cost: $10 - $25
A Divot Tool is a small fork-like tool golfers use to fix ball marks on the putting green. Many come with magnetic Ball Markers in fun designs that snap onto the tool for easy use.
Tees
Cost: $10-$20
The first golf shot requires a tee, so you can never have too many! However I do prefer the bamboo tees listed here. They are a little more durable & won’t leave marks on the golf clubs.
Golf Balls
Cost: $40-$55
A golfer can never have too many of these either!! Every golfer will love getting new golf balls but some can be veryyy particular about their golfing gear, including what golf ball they use. Double check your golfers’ golf bag if you think they might be a little picky. You can see what name brand they prefer.
PRO-TIP: If you have multiple golfers to gift, 1 box of golf balls provides 4 sleeves of balls (3 golf balls per sleeve).
Gloves
Cost: $12-$30
Golf Gloves wear out faster than golfers think, and golfers are too stubborn to get new ones themself. Double check your golfers’ bag for their appropriate glove size if possible.
IMPORTANT NOTE(S): In golf, you wear your golf glove on your non-dominant hand (I’m right handed so I wear one on my left hand). You will also see a size option for Cadet Size which is perfect for people like me with shorter, sausage-like fingers.
Hat or Sunglasses
Cost: $20+
For some reason golfers really love hats. Golf related or their favorite sports team, help them be more stylish and keep the sun out of their eyes.
Golf Towel
Using your pants or shirt to clean your golf clubs is totally fine, but golfing with a Towel (and clean pants) is a much better experience in my opinion.
If you see a “Caddie Towel” option, it is just a slightly bigger towel
Nice-to-Have Upgrades
If you want to impress your golfer (or really show them you care), these gifts go above and beyond. They’re perfect for special occasions, big holidays, or anyone who spends serious time on the course.
Cost: $50-$250
Knowing how far you are from hazards & the hole is crucial. Either of these tools are a game-changer. However some golfers may already have one or have a preference.
I’d recommend getting a gift receipt!
Bluetooth Speaker
Cost: $60-$250
Good tunes are always needed. Some speakers are small & portable while others are magnetic (for golf carts) that display yard distance tracking.
Cost: $15
A clever gadget for golfers who enjoy a cigar in-between golf shots.
Headcovers
Cost: $30-$60
A GREAT way to personalize the golf bag while protecting their clubs! Pins & Aces offer a HUGE variety of headcovers that I use myself.
Golf Apparel
Cost: $20+
I can already hear my mom when she reads this. “What?! My son hated when I gave him clothes!!” I KNOW MOM, for the hundredth time I’m weirdly picky with my clothes. Anyways it can be nice getting new clothes but guessing on the right sizing and style is a challenge. Always include the gift receipt.
Gag Gifts
Not every golf gift has to improve their swing — some are just for laughs. These make perfect Secret Santa or office exchange ideas and will earn you a few smiles & chuckles
Golf Literature
Some classic novels that might (or might not) help with their golf game.
For the golfers that would literally rather play golf than go to sleep.
Cost: $15
“I heard you need more practice with your putting”
Still unsure what to get?
Give the gift of new golf grips or any future repairs when needed. Please note that Club Repair is only located in Bolingbrook, IL.
